Google has just launched a new feature to sync your Google Calendar with outlook. The feature called Google Calendar Sync allows you to sync (yes it is short for Synchronize) calendar events between Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook Calendar. What more you can even set
- the direction of information flow
- frequency of synchronization
However there are few limitations (Oh No!) Well, at present the sync is only available between primary Google Calendar and your default Microsoft Outlook calendar. So if you have multiple Calendars – wait is longer.
To start using this you will have to download a small utility from Google site:
http://dl.google.com/googlecalendarsync/GoogleCalendarSync_Installer.exe
Once downloaded click on the exe file and agree to (whatever – no one reads that) terms. Complete the installation. On completion you will have a window open which will ask you for:
- Your Google Apps Mail id
- Password
- Sync Option
- Time (Sync every ___ Mins) / Minimum 10 mis is required
