Google has quietly put up a restrictions on numbers of users which you can use with Standard Edition (which is free).
Google Apps Standard Edition is now (effective from mid January) limited up to 50 users for new registrants. The old registration howeevr will get the complete quota of registrations.
It may be noted that earlier Google Apps Standard Edition (GASE) can be registerd for up to 1000 users. Looks like that Google will be slowly removing the freebies from Standard Edition.
