Halo Wars was released in Japan on February 26 and PAL territories on February 27. On release Halo Wars garnered got positive reviews from critics. Some of the benefits of being designed for Xbox 360 from the ground up is streamlined RTS experience for the beginners. Rated as T (Teen) Halo Wars is expected to reach a wide gaming audience.
What is Halo Wars?
Halo Wars is a real-time strategy video game developed by Ensemble Studios for Xbox 360. The game is set in the Halo science fiction universe, 20 years before the 2001 video game Halo: Combat Evolved. Halo Wars was released in Japan on February 26, PAL territories on February 27, and in North America to be released on March 3, 2009. It is the last project to be developed by Ensemble.
Halo Wars is created for the Xbox 360 from the ground up, which meant we didn’t have to make compromises or shoe-horn in artifacts from a Windows PC game.
The Setting and Plot of Halo Wars
Halo Wars is set in the 26th century in the year 2531, about 20 years before the events of Halo: Combat Evolved.
Halo Wars is a real-time action strategy game for the Xbox 360 that allows the player to control large armies and to shrewdly direct them in realistic warfare. Set early in the iconic war between the Covenant and UNSC – made famous by the Halo FPS games – Halo Wars provides a new angle on the war while bringing new heroes to the battle.
Audio of Halo Wars
Halo Wars’s music was composed by Stephen Rippy, the composer of all of the Age of Empires games. Rippy was concerned with keeping the music’s feel in the Halo universe while still branching out and writing new material; due to the iconic nature of the music, elements of the Halo trilogy’s music, written by Martin O’Donnell and Michael Salvatori, appear in the game
