PDFVue (www.pdfvue.com) is a newly launched tool from Docudesk (www.docudesk.com) for both viewing and annotating PDF files online.
PDFVue can open up PDF files right in your browser (it prefers Mozilla Firefox, was not working with Google Chrome). There is no need to download any desktop software.
One good feature of PDFVue is the annotation tools. It also lets you fill in forms and highlight text. It also lets you upload images to fit into the PDF. It is a very light desktop publishing tool (good for PCs who do not want anything to be installed) and once you’re done you can save it as a PDF file.
The view is very small and edit portion of the window is very small – it comes in the middle of page and there is no way to get a full screen view. The tools come on the side of page and takes a lot of page real estate.
If you have a new browser extension called “DFVue for Firefox 1.0” installed, it can be set to automatically open up any PDF link you come across while browsing.
PDFVue still in Beta need a lot of improvements before it can be v1.
