Flickr & Picasa are good and I use both, however, SimpleViewer allows you to post your Google ads without hassle or fear of having your account deleted (flickr):

Surely if I get any of these 2 (I’m leaning to Picasa because family pictures/vacations etc… only) I don’t have to use gmail or yahoo et.c.. I can still name & upload pics from my picures or whatever – yes ?
I had Adobe previously and hated it – I mostly want to still use my docs to upload pics to friends in e-mail and occasionally straight from program (or allow them to get online and view my Picasa program & pics….)
With Adobe I wasn’t able to name my picures in my docs and when I want to send one via my own e-mail account (not gmail or anything like that) I couldn’t find it because it was just folders and files with dates still …
I just want an easy program that will allow me to edit, store & name my pics in group albums (more than 1 possibly, as has been said) as well as have the pcis on my hard dirve for backing up.

Downloading from Flickr is easy. Just click on the “all sizes” and drag down the version you want. Third party sharewares make batch downloading easy. Picasa for OSX never worked reliably for me, always waited and waited and got half the download. Flickr is a joy to use. Picasa made me want to shoot myself.

I’m pretty sure you don’t have unlimited space for free on Flickr — you can upload as many photos as you want, but you (or anyone else) can only see the last 200 of them.

I have a flikr account and a picasa account. I ust the flickr for my business because I like the tags it allows. I use picasa for my family pictures because it is easier to share with my family. (Most of them have gmail.)
