Calibri Font Free Download

Calibri font free download is for people who use Microsoft Office on the Mac and are looking to download fonts like Calibri, Consolas, etc that were introduced in Windows Vista and Microsoft Office 2007.
If you are on Windows,  download Calibri font legally with or without Microsoft Office 2007.

How to Download Office 2007 Fonts on the Mac

Microsoft recently introduced an Open XML Converter that adds support for newer Office file formats like docx, xlsx, etc. in Office 2004 for the Mac.

With Open XML converter installed, Office 2004 users can read and write Office documents that are created using Office 2007 on Windows or Office 2008 on the Mac.

And the most interesting part – these popular Office 2007 fonts like Cambria, Calibri, Consolas, Constantia, Corbel and Candara are included by default in the Open XML Converter package.

Unfortunately, Microsoft doesn’t provide a direct way to download these fonts without buying Windows Vista.

But here’s a simple trick to download the Vista fonts for free and legally without buying a Vista license:

Download Calibri Font for Free :

Download either the free Microsoft Powerpoint 2007 Viewer or the Microsoft Office Compatibility pack - both the software include the new Windows Vista fonts.

Pretty useless if you only want the font and not have to install the whole Office rigmarol!

    where is the download link……….

So, this didn’t work for me. I installed the XML Converter, but Calibri is nowhere to be found. Maybe you need a version of Office installed, but neither site mentioning free Calibri seem to say that.

This didn’t work for me either, at first. Perhaps I had too old a version of Office for it to automatically install the fonts. But I opened the package with Pacifist and immediately found the fonts, and extracted them to a folder on my desktop. The fonts really are in this package, but if it doesn’t install them, you can extract them with Pacifist.

For those who don’t have the app Pacifist, I found a link to some instructions for retrieving the fonts from the Open XML Converter package: http://www.wezm.net/technical/2010/08/howto-install-consolas-font-mac/

I tried the XML converter path and it failed. I fixed the problem and have put all the “C” fonts at http://www.brixtonhealth.com/cFonts.html

Woah! Thank – you are a life-saver! That is a complete lie that the Open XML Converter package has the Calibri font. And it’s kind of worthless to me if I have to download another app to extract it.
