Salesforce.com Certified Consultant exam is recommended for Salesforce.com professionals involved in consulting clients on Salesforce.com implementations. I am planning to take Salesforce.com Certified Consultant exam so I thought why not write about certifications related to this essential Cloud Applications (for any business).

Salesforce.com Certified Consultant exam is for whom?

Quoting Salesforce:

The Salesforce.com Certified Consultant exam is intended for an individual who has experience deploying standard applications on the Force.com platform based on common customer scenarios, including practical application of the skills and concepts noted in the exam outline.

The focus of Salesforce.com Certified Consultant exam is more on concepts of Cloud Computing, oftware-as-a-service/platform-as-a-service (SaaS and PaaS). Unlike Salesforce.com Certified Developer here the stress is on designing deployment-ready solutions to solve common customer business requirements – more on consulting side based giving solutions for scenarios and requirements than development.

Prerequisites for Salesforce.com Certified Consultant exam

Must have passed Salesforce.com Certified Administrator exam

Salesforce.com Certified Consultant exam Time, Passing Marks

• Online exam
• 61 questions
• 90 minutes
• Passing Score 73% (You need to get 45 questions right)

Though Salesforce.com recommends Implementation Essentials (CON 201) course for this as preparation but it is not essential.

Salesforce.com Certified Consultant – Study Guide

The “Sal e s force.com Cer t i f ied Consul t a n t – Study Guide” which  is normally release every year – will be the starting point for anyone writing this exam. The guide gives complete overview of exam, Exam Outline, some sample questions and supplemental study material.
