Drag and drop attachments in Gmail is the new feature released today in Gmail. You can now drag and drop attachments directly onto a message when composing a new message. This feature is available in Standard, Premier, Education and Partner Editions of Google Apps Mail in all languages supported by Gmail.
How to Drag and drop attachments in Gmail?
To Drag and drop attachments – instead of clicking on “Attach a file”, drag the file onto the compose window to attach the file. You have to drag it in the area just below Subject line (where attach file link is available). On dragging you will see this message – drop the attachemnet there.
Your attachement will be uploaded and you will see upload status.
Once uploaded you will see the attachment as the link with an option to uncheck it.
Drag and drop attachments in Gmail is an helpful feature and will save a lot of clicks. You can even attach multiple files here.
At present the drag and drop attachments works for Google Chrome and Firefox 3.6 only. More reasons to have Chrome or Firefox.
