Insert a calendar invitation in Gmail or Google Apps Mail

Insert a while composing a mail is a new feature released today. You can now insert a directly from the compose window in Gmail.

How to insert ?

Compose a new message and click on the new link “Insert: Invitation”.

Click on that link and a small window appears that displays your availability as well as that of the people you’re emailing provided you have permission to see their calendars.

Click “Insert Invitation” and this adds a preview to your email message. If you want to edit the just click on Edit link at top right in the Calender Invitation Box inserted in email (picture below).

But remember only sending the message adds the event to your calendar and your friends’ calendars. If you do not send the message the vent will not be created.

Cool! Insert a has made your job easier and now you do not need to go to Calendar App to create an event – just create it while writing the mail.

If you have any questions regarding Insert a write in the commets below to discuss.
