SinoSat-6 satellite launched succesfully from China

China launched SinoSat-6 on september 5 from Xichang Satellite Launch Center
SinoSat-6 satellite will be used to improve live broadcast signals of Television and radio. It operates from geosynchronous orbit at 125 degrees east and has a life span of 15 years and it will be operated by China Satellite Communications Corp.
According to the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation will serve as a substitute for SinoSat-3 which was launched on June 1, 2007.The satellite was carried on the Long March 3B rocket which took the SinoSat-6 into a geostationary transfer orbit 26 minutes after the launch.
For the next 15 years it is meant to provide live TV and radio broadcasting signals for the people living in remote and mountainous regions of China.
