  • 5 Gigabytes of data per month for $50
  • 10 Gigabytes of data per month for $80

Customers who exceed this limit will be charged $10 for every 1GB that goes over the limit.

“Verizon Wireless is able to offer the five-gigabyte plan at a lower rate than its 3G plan because it costs less to deliver that wireless traffic on 4G,” Chief Technology Officer Tony Melone said.

Verizon expects to expand coverage by  the end of 2011 it will be able to serve 200 million people with the service. And by the end of 2013 it will be available to more than 285 million potential customers.
