Microsoft has issued 17 Security Bulletins addressing 40 vulnerabilities on Tuesday, December 14. This is the latest batch of security updates known as Patch Tuesday. The first critical fix is likely the most important. MS10-090 and the second critical fix, MS10-091.
Two of the 17 bulletins are considered as “critical” then 14 of them is rated as “important” and the last one is “moderate”. All these security bulletins are dedicated to Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 as well as Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2.
Moreover, Patch Tuesday covers Office XP, Office 2003, Office 2007 and Office 2010 vulnerabilities.
