Acer has announced a new a 10.1-inch Android tablet named Iconia Tab A500 powered by a 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 SoC dual-core CPU.
Acer Iconia Tab A500 comes with integrated Verizon 4G LTE connectivity, based on the Nvidia Tegra 2 platform, supporting 1080p video playback, a full-sized USB port, a micro USB port, a dedicated charging socket and a dock connector. The engineering sample showcased at the 2011 CES Show runs Android 2.2, but the final version is expected to run Android 3.0 Honeycomb. On the top of OS, the device runs a custom Acer UI 4.5 user interface.
