Intel core i7 is a Intel brand and also second Generation successor. i7 is for so many desktop and laptop 64-bit x86-64 processors using the Nehalem, Westmere, and Sandy Bridge microarchitectures.Second generation processor brings more intelligence to our PC and intel have a Nehalam CPU. The first Core i7 was officially launched on November 17, 2008.
Core i7 processors based on Lynnfield have Hyper-Threading. Intel i7 processor is distinguished from the Core i3 (entry-level consumer), Core i5 (mainstream consumer) and Xeon (server) brands. Intel core all models were Quad core processors features 8-way multitasking capability and additional L3 cache. With adaptive performance. And Intel products are processors, mother boards, chipsets, solid state drive, ethernet products, storage embedded products, wireless products.
Intel core i7 processor has so many advantages and it delivers the best performance for the applications. Those applications are intel GMA or Graphic Media Accelarator and Laptop.
Intel core i7 processor features and advantages:
Intel Turbo Boost Technology automatically runs the processor core, faster than the marked frequency if the part is operating under power, temperature, and current specifications limits of the Thermal Design Power (TDP). This will increases the performance of both single and multi-threaded applications.
Core i7 processors based on Lynnfield have Hyper-Threading, which is disabled in Lynnfield-based Core i5 processors. Intel HT Technology improves overall performance on threaded software. HT technology uses processor resources and enabling multiple threads to run on each core. An Intel processor and chipset combined with an OS and BIOS supporting Intel HT Technology.
HT technology uses:
- Run demanding applications simultaneously while maintaining system responsiveness
- Keep systems more secure, efficient, and manageable while minimizing impact on productivity
- Provide headroom for future business growth and new solution capabilities
Whats new in i7 processor:
- Intel core i3 entry level desktop and laptop computer market, the core i5 series mid level computing segment, the core i7 high performance processors.
- Front Side Bus with the QPI (Quick Path Interconnect)
- Faster access of the data on the hard disk.
- Cheaper component but increasing more speed
- Supports dedicated online communities
- Clocking frequencies reaching 3.33 GHz powered by Intel Turboboost.
- Intel processor models are features 8-way multitasking capability and additional L3 cache
- Overclocking increase the speed of the Core i7 system
- Cooling techniques can reduce damage due to overheating
- Graphics cards can be clocked
- Clocking is flashing and unlocking to video cards
- Turbo boosting and Quick Path, but also have totally new Nehalem microarchitecture
Core introduces newly to i7 about memory controllers integrated into the microprocessors, which are connected together with a high-speed, point-to-point Interconnect
With the core i7, Intel wants to reach their dreams by creating the best processors on the planet. i7 is costliest compare to i3, i5, but they offer true value for your money.
